Who is eligible to become a CSQ client?
CSQ Companion services will consider all requests for a social companion/personal assistant from any person or organization in the Edmonton area. However, we target our advertising and efforts to elderly and disabled people whom we believe would most benefit from our services.
We work with our individual private clients, as well as some contract work for organizations.
How much do CSQ companion services cost?
Our base rate is $30 per hour.
What are some examples of situations where a CSQ Companion could be helpful?
Many of our clients use our services for social outings including visits to the mall for shopping, out to a restaurant to eat, to a movie or dinner theatre, or sporting events, concerts and museums. A CSQ companion pushes wheelchairs, helps to gather items while shopping, and assists with food and drink when the client needs it.
Sometimes our clients want assistance and companionship for a medical appointment, a visit at home or in-facility, and sometimes just for a walk or a picnic.

Are companions from CSQ medical professionals?
All CSQ companions have basic first aid training but ARE NOT MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS.
CSQ companions are strictly social companions and personal assistants and we leave medical treatment to the licensed medical professionals.
Do CSQ Companions drive clients during outings?
Not at this time. For reasons of insurance and trying to keep our rates as low as possible, all transportation needs to be provided by the client or through public transportation options such as ETS, DATS, or taxi, including wheelchair accessible taxis.

How do I begin the process of seeing if a CSQ Companion is the right fit for myself or my loved one?
The best way is to contact us and tell us a little about your needs and ask any questions you may have. There is an email form on our contact page, and a phone number there as well.
We also offer a no obligation, free of charge meet and greet session with your CSQ Companion for you to determine your comfort level and desire to proceed as a client. This meet and greet session could happen in your home or facility, a public space such as a mall or restaurant, or even online over Zoom if you prefer.
